In the Museum’s remembrance section is an image of a New Zealander in an RAF uniform. The image is of Flight Lieutenant Samuel Dawson DFC. On 17 September 1919 he was flying a seaplane of HMS Vindictive in support of British operations in Russia when he failed to return from a patrol.
