David Hadley served with the Fleet Air Arm during World War Two. As an Air Artificer his work revolved around the maintenance of aircraft engines and air frames.
From 1944 to 1945 he was based in Sri Lanka (Ceylon) at Royal Naval Air Station HMS BHERUNDA. He was attached to Naval Stores and the Motor Transport Division, licenced to drive Admiralty owned vehicles.
