Museum Update – COVID-19
Here at the Navy Museum we’re continuing to actively monitor the COVID-19 situation and following the expert advice from New Zealand’s Ministry of Health. The health and wellbeing of our visitors, staff and communities is our top priority. Our visitors will have noticed that we have introduced extra health and safety precautions on site.
From today, Thursday 19 March we’re introducing new measures to make sure your visit to the Navy Museum is safe and enjoyable. We are suspending our public education sessions, guided tours, public programmes and events until further notice. This is a temporaray measure and we look forward to being back to regular operations as soon as possible.
Our galleries, store and Torpedo Bay Cafe remain open. A new exhibition of well-known photographer, Tudor Collins’ evocative images is now on in our entrance gallery.
Please stay connected with us through our social media and we’ll keep you updated on happenings at the Museum. Please take care of yourself and each other.
