Chief Motor Mechanic Alfred Gordon Messenger (Compiler)

Circa 1914 – 1918

Messenger served within the Royal Navy as a motor mechanic aboard Motor Launch (ML) 241 during World War One. ML 241 was present at the raid in Zeebrugge in April 1918 and at Ostend in May 1918. In our collection we have two photograph albums which he compiled during the First World War. This particular album contains photographs of battleships, motor launches, and submarines.
