Chief Motor Mechanic Alfred Messenger (Compiler and photographer)

Circa 1916 – 1919

Messenger served in the Royal Navy aboard Motor Launch 241 during the First World War. Within our collection we have two photograph albums which he compiled during this period. His camera (IPA 0003) is also on display in this gallery. This album contains photographs from Messenger’s travels: landscapes, group photos, and nautical related imagery.
