Lieutenant Neil Harton (Compiler)
1940 – 1944
Harton volunteered for service after the beginning of the Second World War, joining the Royal Navy. His album begins with photos from aboard S.S. AKAROA, and then of HMS ARETHUSA, which he served in. After it features time spent with family in England, 1943, at ‘Hill House’. The latter pages revert back to mainly naval representation: damage to a Fairmile vessel, sailors in uniform, and Motor Gun and Torpedo Boats.
