Join us on Sunday 23rd February at 11am for our Purple Poppy Day Commemoration. Purple Poppy Day recognises animals that have served and are serving in conflicts. We also recognise animals who provide various essential services in our community alongside their human handlers.
The commemoration at the museum starts at 11am and will include a performance by RNZN Pipes and Drums, a short blessing from Navy Chaplain William Hay and some special canine VIP visitors!
All are welcome including pets. All pets must be on a lead or in an animal carrier.
Complimentary purple ribbons for your pet’s collar will be available from boutique stationers Fitzgerald Taylor in Queens Parade from the week of 17th February.
Purple Poppy Day is supported by the Devonport RSA and Fitzgerald Taylor Boutique Stationers.
