Teachers' resources

A collection of resources to support teachers delivering the Museum in a Box learning programme.

Museum in a Box – Medals is a mail-out resource from the Navy Museum. The focus is on medals and values, and it aligns with Te Ao Tangata, the refreshed Social Sciences curriculum.

Museum in a Box – Medals guides learners through three phases of activities:

Phase 1: Explore medals in the Navy Museum collections

Phase 2: Discover about medals and awards in their own communities

Phase 3: Design. Learners consider their own values and design their own medal.
