Threads Through Time was a textiles exhibition with a difference which was exhibited at the museum during 2022 and the early part of 2023. The exhibition explored the stories of 12 retired and serving female sailors through the squares they have individually hand-crafted using fabric, buttons and braid from old Navy uniforms.
The 49 squares were sewn into a quilt and formed the centre piece of the exhibition.
